This was recorded January 19-20 2006 at Luckenbach, Texas, and is what you might expect from this legendary Texas town that has been home to some many songwriters and offbeat Characters that are larger than the myths that surround the town.  The songs are basically from the 1970s and many will bring memories for those of you that still have a memory of that time.  They were written by the likes of Jerry Jeff Walker (7), Gary P. Nunn (2), Guy Clark, Michael Murphy, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Hondo Crouch (a poem) and Townes Van Zandt so this will give you an idea what you are getting into.  The artists doing the songs go from The Lost Gonzo Band (original group), The Derailers, Jimmy LaFave, to many you may never have heard of, and all kinds of mixtures and permutations of those mentioned and not mentioned.  It is recorded live in front of

Viva Terlingua

a raucous and rambunctious crowd that paid the staggering price of $1.00 admission to sit in on this concert.  It is a disc that shows the true spirit established by The Lost Gonzo Band.  Great performances by all the groups, but particularly notable are The Lost Gonzos and Jimmy LaFave. . (There is also a disclaimer in there that Jerry Jeff Walker has filed a lawsuit to stop the release of the disc??? but this isdamn sure worth getting.)
