I just don't know what it is about this disc, but as hard as it was to get it on the player initially, it is now that difficult to get off! I will say that this is not what I normally listen to, but then this isn't a normal disc. It is an indie as you can see by the address for getting a copy at the top of this review, and an exceptionally well-done one. The playing is particularly tight; outstanding drumming, wonderful harmonies, interesting musical changes, combined with excellent recording technique (yes big companies this one sounds as if it was done in one of your studios, and in no way can it be faulted technically). As to what type of music this is I don't know. What is amazing to me is that this was recorded in a living room, and is done by only 3 people! Intelligent song writing is certainly a large portion of the appeal. Parts rock (both classic and alternative), pop, country rock, and whatever else there is thrown into a huge caldron, mixed with love and attention to detail, served up as an entity that far exceeds the parts that make it up. I have been delaying reviewing it for months now hoping some divine inspirational phrase would reveal itself to me, and I could coin a new phrase. I can't. Honestly it is mutt music, unlike the trusting Otis (you need to get the disc to learn of Otis). It, at times, vocally reminds me of the

Revolver album (the harmonies are stunning), the guitars show the influence of Jimi and Jimmy Page, and the drumming is controlled fury. The sound is enormous and elegant. Think of viewing the Taj Mahal as the first rays of the sun hit it at dawn, translate that to a auditory image and you begin to get an idea of the encompassing nature of the sound here.
