This Irish band is bent on bringing their energy and power to the United States, after playing to sold out shows in Ireland. There is a very gritty down in the gutter Irish sound to this band. They use the power guitar chords to drive their sound on their harder numbers, and when they pull back from the power chords they are a very melodic band with very good vocals. On this disc11 of the13 tunes are written by Carl Dowling/David Walsh, who also handles drums, loops, percussion/ keyboards and guitar, respectively. Dowling/Walsh along with Alan Doyle, who also hands guitar and vocals, wrote one of the unaccounted for songs. Neil Eurelle who also handles the bass and vocals on the disc wrote the remaining song. It is a 4-piece outfit and on this disc they add Josh Roy Brown, lap steel, Donte Ryan, banjo, and Sasha Victory, percussion, to round out and fill out the sound.

They have a passionate way about the music that manifests in two entirely different ways depending on the type of song they are doing. The tunes that are presented with that wall of gritty guitar sound the passion comes from the instruments, while on the more melodic tunes the singing takes center stage and presents the emotion. On “In a Happy Place” (which sounds like it comes from anyplace other than that) they blend the two so they meld happily and the full passion comes thru in all ways. This is a band that it will be interesting to watch and see where they go from here.
