Let me say right off the bat that this CD benefits the U.M.C. in Tucson, AZ not the artist; it is a repayment of sorts for the help the medical community gave to Rainer when he suffered. It is a compilation of pieces that have been recorded for other discs or were not in this form when played before. With various personal playing in different configurations, then is his norm and they were not listed anywhere and thus all the money could go to the hospital. Don't let any of this distract you from the music on this disc. On a couple of tracks it would have helped to have cleaner sound, and at times the songs stayed to close to the same tempo and almost seemed to run together. This is some masterful Dobro and National Steel Playing very much at times in the vein of the old Delta blues masters, listen to DERAILED. Then for a more modern urban blues sound listen to the band as it cranks into TRAINS. There is not a lot of good slide playing being done now and here is someone who has learned his lessons and his instruments very well with this he has come to a peak with his craft.
