Tumultuous, rocking, rowdy, bar music blaring from swinging doors of the late night cantinas on the Irish side of the tracks down near the Mexican border.  Put this one and you are up to dance and upon later reflection say, "What the Hell have I been listening to?  Stones alive its good.  But what is it?" Before I go to try and answer that question let me give a few hints.  All the lyrics were written by Nancy McCallion, who is also one of the lead singers.  The other lead singer is Catherine Zavala, who also plays mandolin and bodhran.  Kevin Schramm, accordion, guitar, banjo, bouzouki, and vocal, helped write some of the music.  This is as honest a potpourri as you can get.  It hoots and hollers like an Irish pub near closing time.  The laments and raucous strains of accordion and mandolin come wafting thru the speakers.  All this backed by a legitimate backdrop of American Folk music.  Just give a listen to ALL AROUND MY HAT, a traditional tune give new lyrics by Nancy McCallion.  And then next song, the instrumental HAT TRICK written by Kevin Schramm, and tell me where this band hails from.  It is a delight to put on, but not as much of a pleasure as it is to see them fill up a dance floor, and keep it filled for the night by smiling people of all kinds.
