When you put this disc on you notice a feel to it, it is about times of heartbreak, loneliness caused by emptiness and broken relationships.  It is a mostly solo acoustic folk disc, just her and acoustic guitar, though she occasionally switches to electric guitar, or piano.  Something one must applaud is her honesty and ability to let the painful emotions stand bare naked and tall for all to see.  She has a melancholic voice that fits in wonderfully with the mood of her songs, not a weak or wavering voice at all, there is a strength though a yearning in the voice.  There isn’t blame cast about by this Canadian singer/songwriter.

This is a curious experiment on her part as she has released almost all of the

songs on these discs on previously released discs, though generally with others helping to put some additional flesh on them, and give them more than her guitar and voice. There are many different mind sets and reasons of releasing things to the world, though this one isn’t something understood in this quarter, that doesn’t make it invalid.
