This is another blazing hot album of ‘sacred steel” music that is rooted in the House of God tradition, given to us by Arhoolie Records. With Keith and Derrick Lee on vocals, Alvin Lee on guitar and midi-guitar, the amazing Emanuel Roosevelt Collier on pedal-steel guitar, Alvin Cordy Jr. on 7 string electric bass, and Kenneth Earl Walker II on drums they keep it all in the family. They are 3 brothers and 3 nephews. This group knows how to raise the roof, show their love of God, sing his praises, and bring the music home. They are one of the younger Sacred Steel groups and like Robert Randolph’s Family Band they infuse some
of the current music they listen to into their church music. They incorporate the sound of R & B and Hip-Hop with the lead pedal-steel work to keep their music contemporary. If this doesn’t get you up and tapping your feet you had better get to the doctor.
