This debut CD is a showstopper right from the opening notes. There are 11 tunes, all composed by Mr. Lee, in his quite signature style; that owes as much to early the early folk people such, as John Prine and Bob Dylan, as to the soul and R & B singers like Stevie Wonder, and Ray Charles. The songs display an intelligence that displays a depth of thinking. These are done with a pared down and sparse instrumentation that emphasizes his songs and his slow tempo delivery. His utilizes his falsetto quivering voice in a very effective manner and will sometimes go

into a scat delivery style that has tinges of a jazz singers’ delivery. This is someone you are going to hear much more from, if for no other reason than he is on tour opening for Bob Dylan. This is a wonderful debut that holds so much promise for a plethora of great music in the future.
