It took 20 years to end the recording silence of this legendary punk/country Rockabilly group.  This just about 40 minute effort shows that the group has not lost a think in the hiatus.  They still have the same frantic edge that characterized both the songwriting and the playing of this group.  It is still John Doe, Exene Cervenka, Dave Alvin and DJ Bonebrake and Jonny Ray Bartel, stripping down the songs to barebones and presenting them with that country/punk twang that made

them such a hit these 20 years ago.  Songs such as “Give Me Flowers While I’m Living” and “Born To Be Wild” leap into your ears with their frantic energy with their playing.  Let’s not wait so long to do the next disc.
