This is Robert Earl Keen at the Houston Rodeo and Stock Show in March of 2000 and if you haven’t seen him a worthwhile disc. He shows you here how he takes these little back porch nuggets and gets behind them and just turns them into folksy tunes that rock the hello out of the audience. It helps playing in front of a hometown crowd, but don’t let that diminish the great craft in
his songs. He is a rhyming poet who knows the value of a good yarn and knows how to create the tension necessary to keep you coming along with it. A good 30 minute video.
