For Buddy Guy, one of the masters of genre, this is a rediscovering of the pure Chicago Blues that he had slipped away from for awhile. It contains some of his most inspired guitar playing to be heard since some of the early albums from around the time he was recording with Junior Wells. His vocals here are some of his most passionate and heartfelt to be heard in a long time, perhaps he just went back to the feel he had on the I Had A Dream album. He is not at all hurt by the addition of a few guitar players who stop by to lend some chops, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, and Mark Knopfler. Don't be mislead it is Buddy's album all the way, these guys just give an added push to a musician already in top form. This is one of those discs where you just crank this up and vibrate the whole house. Give a listen to REMEMBERING STEVIE and gather in the love and depth of feeling this man brings to his music, and all who embrace it.
