This extremely talented guitarist and singer was born in Mississippi and has all the soul and blues that that region seems to heap upon its citizens. His guitar playing is straight ahead blues, and his ability to bend notes, with a strength and rawness second to no one playing now, contributes to his growing legend. This is someone with as much talent as many of his peers that have achieved more fame. There is a savage primitiveness to his playing that will turn more than a few heads. This recording was just a spontaneous happening and Lee had never met these players before and wrote all the songs in the studio, live and no overdubs. It sounds as if they have been playing
together for years.
