This is a disc of beautiful rustic Cuban music that has some of the most absurd story lines, that are sung beautifully by this imaginative singer songwriter.  This singer/song writer, he wrote all the songs but one, and that is by his uncle Raul Ferrer Perez, is also  a master of the Tres, a guitar like instrument (tuned very differently).  He keeps the disc in a very rustic feel, simple arrangements, and is mainly accompanied by his daughter Lena Ferrer on back-up vocals.  Some of the songs are sheer beautiful poetry such as the song about the end of life “Tornada del siquitraque” (“Song of the Firecrackers”), but

others such as “Fiesta de mujeres”, “A Ladies Party”, are about hallucinations such as Martian girls with antennas! The disc is all sung in Spanish but the lyrics are translated in the booklet (my Spanish is quite rusty).  But a beautiful disc no matter the language.
