One of the overlooked gems kicking around record bins, this is overall one of the best collaboration CDs available.  The playing is skin tight throughout the disc.  Though no sidemen are credited if you were a betting person you sure should bet your money on Booker T. and The MGs. It has their feel, groove, and precise teamwork.  I don't find a weak cut on the album, but a number of exceptionally strong ones.  Just try to keep your hand off the volume on Tupelo.  Listen to the guitars intertwine and play off each other on Opus De Soul, amongst others and feel the respect the players have for each other.  If you think you've heard Knock On Wood enough, feel the guitars battling and trying to push each other to greater moments.  It’s not a feeling of 'I can do better than you', but lets see what this lick inspires you to do and then we can try it all again, just for fun to see what happens.
