This young Indiana singer/songwriter has released this; his second disc and first with a band that gives more feel for what this emergent talent can do when given the backing.  His songs are wonderful vignettes of life that move in a straight-ahead fashion like a well told tale.  Some wonderful musicians who give him the support and room to roam very ably back him here; Steven O. Hanson on mandolin and mandolin family instruments as well as banjo and vocal harmonies, Loren Winkler on Les Paul junior and Lap Steel, Ken Jones and on vocal harmonies, as well as Jim Pipher on bass and vocal harmonies, Mike Dowty on mandolin and Brian

Gerkensmeyer on bass.  His music ranges from almost calypso, to a bit of gospel and music that shows a background in the church chorus to a blues base.  There is a happy lilt to most of the music that takes the listener down a long and winding dirt road way out in the country on a sightseeing ramble that has no destination in mind, just the joy of the journey.  A very pleasant sojourn in a bucolic setting.
