This is another of those early excellent recording from the Arhoolie Label that is now out in stereo, it does sound much better. These is arguably one of the best sessions The King of Zydeco ever did, as at the time he was in his prime and had just cream of the crop bands playing with him on these recordings. Since Zydeco is a combining of blues with Cajun/Creole music this is almost a redundant title, however that is the only nit you can pick with this collection. This is Zydeco at its

dance party best as played by the man who is considered the innovator of this style of music. If you had the disc in mono it is opening it to a whole new world to hear it in stereo. Don’t let this one slip off the dance floor.
