This accordion player has been around for a good stretch of time, and has played with people as diverse as Fats Domino and Clifton Chenier, and has learned well from them.  He has assimilated the music styles of the breath of Texas, from Galveston to Lubbock.  From Tejano to Zydeco, to the rowdy mixture of Country Western and Rock & Roll that is played throughout the state, but particularly in West Texas, he is known for his effort and showmanship.  A stellar group that keeps this disc rolling along augments his normal

Ponty Bone

band, The Squeezetones.  It is not his most adventurous disc, however it does give us a good view of the spectrum of his work, and is certainly not weak.  There is some excellent work on piano and organ by R.C. Banks that fills in the sound just perfectly.  Ponty Bone is one of the wise old timers that keeps on improving and puts on one of the best shows you can catch.
